Deconstructing Gordan Parks

1]I see a hard working black woman standing in front of an American flag.
2] It is saying to me that there is NO FREEDOM for her.
3] One similarity of both the pictures is they both have that distraught look on their face.
One Different is in woods picture they look like they are making it through life and Parks picture still looks like she is struggling.
4] I think it means a black women who is still trying to get through her life with no freedom.
5] I think this photograph is a very successful photo.
